Water:

Clean water. Tide starts changing every 6 hours. Big, powerful waves, 2-3m, sometimes more.

Beach:

White sand. The beach in high tide is not too broad but still good room to launch between barracas. Choose the barraca in where kiters are riding. Preferably leave your valuables at the barraca, the streets near the beach can be dangerous and prone to propiciate assaults. Park always in front of the barraca and if no car, take a taxi and order one when leaving.

Weather:

Sunny and warm, water 30°C and air 35°C, all year.

Wind:

Starts sideshore to turn sideonshore to onshore. Sideshore NNW and SSE.

How to get there:

By car or taxi, just a short ride from the center.

Rules & Restrictions:

Beware the area, there's a favela (poor's people ghetto) near, anyway, if you do right nothing bad should happen. Nightlife:
